I’m already connected to the RCA community. What is the new expanded membership program?

Membership is required for access to member events, exclusive offers & many more exciting perks.

Is RCA the same as an online forum or Facebook group?

No, this is a legal entity with Bylaws and a Board of Directors intended to help enable in-person meetups through local club chapters. However, RCA does use web sites and Facebook to list events and other information.

I help to run a local Rivian club, why would our club join Rivian Clubs of America?

  • To connect with other Rivian clubs. RCA can help you connect with other Rivian clubs in your area or around the country. This can be a great way to share ideas and resources, and to plan joint events.
  • To get involved in the national Rivian community. RCA is a great way to get involved in the national Rivian community. You can participate in RCA events, volunteer for RCA projects, and even run for office in RCA.
  • To support Rivian. RCA is a non-profit organization that supports Rivian and its mission to create sustainable transportation solutions. By joining RCA, you can help Rivian continue to develop innovative electric vehicles.

What are the benefits for my club to join RCA?

These benefits can be seen in two areas: 1 – the benefits for club leadership and club-wide support, and 2 – the benefits for individuals who join RCA.

For club leaders, the benefits include having a collective group to help support each other for items such as web site creation, centralized membership registration and dues collection, and access to a document library for items such as liability waivers for events. The member clubs will also be listed on the RCA web site. The clubs will be allowed to use the RCA logo, which, although young, is already a known and recognizable national brand among Rivian enthusiasts.

Can individuals join RCA or do I have to be part of a local club?

Membership in RCA is on an individual basis, not based on a club affiliation. An individual can choose to cancel their membership to RCA at any time (although annual dues paid would not be refunded).

Will the local clubs get dues?

A portion of these dues will be distributed to individual club chapters to support their events. The amount of dues each chapter receives will vary depending on the club size.

Can I use my own logo?

For any club-wide events and meetups, or for any official communications with club members and the public, use of the official RCA logo is required. Any logos intended to represent the club that are not officially sanctioned or approved cannot be used. Specialized graphics designed for specific events will be permitted so long as they don’t violate the logo use guidelines. In the future, we hope to have more region-specific logos designed to help individualize the local clubs.

Does our club get to use the RCA logo design?

Once each club has been approved as a charter, each club will receive a logo with the club name. The club will be able to use the logo in accordance with the logo use guidelines.

Can I withdraw a club from RCA?

Any chapter officially affiliated with RCA can withdraw from RCA by submitting a letter of request to the Board of Directors. The board can remove the club leaders from the leadership roster. Note also that a club charter can be rescinded by the board for reasons outlined in the Bylaws without a request from the club’s leaders if the club violates the principles outlined in the Bylaws and Code of Conduct.

If my club withdraws, what happens to the membership of my club?

Once a club belongs to RCA, the membership information of that club’s roster would be transferred to RCA’s membership database. That membership data would stay with RCA after any separation of the local club. The local club can return to having their own meetings and events as before (without the support of RCA), however, RCA would be free to contact those members and offer them options for other local chapters of RCA-affiliated clubs. Membership in RCA is on an individual basis, not based on a club affiliation, so the individual members would remain members of RCA. An individual can choose to cancel their membership to RCA at any time (although annual dues paid would not be refunded).

There is no club in my area that I know of, can I still join RCA?

Yes, you can still join RCA even if there is no club in your area. You can join as an individual member. As an individual member, you will have access to the RCA website and resources, as well as the ability to participate in RCA events and activities at ANY RCA Chapter.

What if our club decides not to join?

We understand that Rivian clubs can take on many forms. We hope to work together with other in-person gatherings and online forums to create a robust environment for the clubs to grow.

Can we join later?

Yes. There is no timeline for clubs or individuals to join RCA. Just reach out to membership@rivianclubs.org with any questions.
